Moon Materia was founded by Moon Yueh Fong, who graduated from Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine with a Master’s degree in 2018.
As a practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and the owner of her own TCM clinic in the Netherlands, she works closely with patients every day and has seen how powerful classical herbal formulas can be when used with the right guidance.
With years of clinical experience and a deep respect for TCM, she created Moon Materia with the vision of bringing classical Chinese herbal formulas into modern life in a more accessible, trustworthy, and practical way.
The goal is not to change the wisdom of ancient formulas, but to preserve their original foundation while adapting them for the needs of today with cleaner formulations, fully vegan ingredients, and an approach that fits modern daily life.
Many traditional formulas contain ingredients such as honey, gelatin, or other animal-derived substances. Moon Materia is built on the belief that classical formulas can be respectfully reimagined into 100% vegan versions while maintaining the philosophy, balance, and effectiveness of the original prescriptions.
Alongside her clinical work, she is dedicated to making TCM more open and accessible to the public, helping people understand and use high-quality herbal formulas beyond the clinic setting, with proper guidance and greater transparency.
We believe TCM should not feel distant or outdated, but should become a natural part of modern life, while still respecting the original principles and knowledge passed down through generations.
